Thanksgivingとは、

Thanksgiving Day は感謝祭（かんしゃさい）、And it is an アメリカ合衆国の祝日のひとつ。Thanksgivingと略称（りゃくしょう）されたり、あるいは「七面鳥（しちめんちょう）の日」　Or　“Turkey Day”　と呼（よ）んだりもする (Not a very good 略称 really)。アメリカでは毎年の11月の第4木曜日になっている。日本のプロテスタントでは収穫感謝日 （The Day of Harvest)　と呼ぶ。

Thanksgiving dinner!

Everyone differs on what they serve but generally,

The 「Traditional Feast」 or 伝統的な正餐（でんとうなてきせいさん)のMain Dish(メインディッシュ) となるのは、STUFFING or 角切りにした (パン)を用いた詰め物（「スタッフィング」または「ドレッシング（dressing）」と呼ばれるー　They really are roughly the same thing）をした大きなBIG－TURKEY BIRD(七面鳥)　の丸焼きである（Or in an oven)。そのため、感謝祭の日は”Turkey Day”(「ターキーディ」)と口語的に呼ばれることもある（日本語で七面鳥の日）。(See Picture Below)

切り分けたTURKEY(ターキー)にGRAVY(グレービーソース)とCranberry Sauce (クランベリーソース)を添（そ）えて供（きょう）する。

I don’t know what Vegetarians do… tofu turkey?

Veggiesには、Mashed Potatoes(マッシュポテト)とGravy (グレービーソース)、Yams (オレンジ色のサツマイモ)の料理、さやいんげんのキャセロールなどが一般（いっぽん）的である。 Oishii Yet?

Ok, how about what is for desert?!

Desert (デザート)には、Apple Pie (アップルパイ)やPumpkin Pie (パンプキンパイ)が供されることが多い　Basically that’s the common pie people serve.

Thanksgiving’s Traditional serving time (伝統的な食事をいつ摂（と）るかは、Lunch time (昼食 13:00-14:00)、（Early Dinner Time)夕食(17:00-19:00)、Or about 4pm ish (16:00ごろなど)、家庭（Family or whomever is there)によって異（こと）なる。

And while the cooking is going on there’s also the famous MACY’S Thanksgiving Parade (in Japanese)!

Which apparently more Anime Characters are showing up in.

Lastly, here’s a vid of Elementary Schoolers celebrating Thanksgiving in America. I remember also doing this in Elementary school. Japanese people might notice lunch is done in a big room (cafeteria) rather then in the student’s classroom.
