The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office rescue team responded to a report on Jan. 22 of someone who had fallen ill while in the hot springs, according to a post on the department’s Facebook page.

“The subject just stated he was too weak to get out,” Marcus Mendoza, spokesman for the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, told the Statesman Journal. “He waited there until he was rescued and in good spirits was transported to a hospital for treatment. He wasn’t in distress and they were able to basically load up and pack him out.”
